Committed to training
the Law Enforcement Officers in the State of New Mexico and surrounding
areas. Providing a network of communication between Federal and State
Law Enforcement Agencies
is the key to securing and protecting our
State.
The New Mexico Narcotic Officers Association is an association of approximately 500 members. It was established in 1991 for the purpose of networking and sharing information on new drug trends, safety bulletins, methods of trafficking illegal substances and more importantly, maintaining a network of communication between law enforcement agencies throughout the state of New Mexico. We are a member of the National Narcotics Officers Associations Coalition (NNOAC). This group based in Washington, D.C., is responsible for presenting concerns and representing associations to members of the House of Senate and Congress. The NNOAC is partially responsible for retaining the HIDTA budgets and voicing concerns. The NNOAC is about 60,000 members strong with representatives from about 40 states.
The New Mexico Nartcotics Officers Association (NMNOA) presents accredited, advanced, training supported by Southwest HIDTA and New Mexico Department of Public Safety in Santa Fe, NM, in continuance of updated training and trends.
We encourage not only State and Federal Law Enforcement, but also District Attorneys, Adult Probation and Parole, Juvenile Probation, and Department of Corrections to become members of the New Mexico Narcotic Officers Association, as it will certainly allow an opportunity for adjoining agencies to train together. To become a member of the New Mexico Narcotics Officers Association, complete and submit the membership form located on the Documents & Forms page.
